Say & Pray Devotions, A great book for those with little ones! #flyby #sayandpray
I have said it before and I will say it again, God is so miraculous. I have had the pleasure of giving a review to this book Say & Pray Devotions, First Words, Devotions and Prayers, board book by Diane Stortz and Illustrated by Sarah Ward.
This board book is great for a few different reasons. First it helps little ones learn to read by having pictures next to words, and what goes on throughout the day. For example the first pages show Good Morning and a little girl in a bathroom with a wash cloth, tooth brushes, tooth paste etc....This also has a simple say and pray. Gives a simple passage from the bible and a sweet short little prayer.
The book takes us through out the day into the night. Each page is the same with words and places and the say and pray. The children of the book go to the zoo, the playground and the beach. This shows the little ones music with joyful noise, playing with friends, helpers that serve the community, and pets. Each page is illustrated with cute children and is for all as it is diverse with ethnicity.
There are three sections: God's World, God's Gifts and God's Love.
This cute story book teaches not only teaches kids words but how to be kind to others and to appreciate the world around them.
Unfortunately so much is going on in our world, it is important to keep kids grounded with good morals and faith. I am not much of a church goer, but I do believe in God and Jesus, I do find it important to start the teachings of God from the beginning of a child's life. Diane Stortz gives a nice little start in showing children of all backgrounds they are God's children and the wonderful things He provides. And also teaches children how to read by association with the labels.
Overall, this is a cute, simple board book that introduces the little ones to learning how to read, how to pray and enjoy the simple things in life!
