Beautiful Simple Reminder for our Children...God is Everywhere!! #RickWarren #FlyBy

Image
How often we forget the simple things in life. We get so caught up in the craziness of the day and our lives that we forget to look at the simple things in life. The simple things in life show us that God is all around us and with us always.  Whether people want to believe that or not, I can't speak for others, but only for myself and things that happen in my family. Just last week, I was driving, I had my 15 year old and my 5 year old daughters with me. We were on our way to a doctor's appointment. I drive a minivan, a pickup truck decided to jet right past his stop sign and go right in front of me full force. Now I have been in accidents before, and the majority of the time there is always that screech of tires right before the actual crash, that screech was there, and everything seemed to go into slow motion, the crash didn't happen. We were so incredibly lucky. At the speed the truck was going, and myself, we would have hit his gas tank for sure. As the near miss h...

I want a dragon mate!!!

Emilia Hartley is a new author that writes really great shifter type supernatural books. Her style of writing grabs you right from the beginning in her quick easy to read books. I would say they are geared more towards young adults. I have been reading her series and I have fallen in love with them. The first series Fated Dragons is about a family of  Welsh dragons that show the true meaning of family. Their bond is incredible. Each book in the series takes you through the different family members and how they find their mates. Not only finding their mates, but each book contains struggles and how they get through them. My jaw was dropping with a lot of the scenes. Considering she is taking us through finding their mates, there are some passionate love making scenes in the books. It goes much deeper than that though. The dragon family is fighting to coexist with the humans, but they face great challenges with the GOE Guardians of Existence.  There are twists and turns i...

Survey Sites a Scam?

Image
If you are anything like me you are constantly looking for a way to bring in some extra money. Tired of scams? It can be downright frustrating when you are looking to bring in some extra cash from doing things in your spare time. I have found a few survey sites that are not scams. I am sure that you have heard that before also, but there is a catch! Of course there is always a catch, right seems that way; however, the catch really isn't too bad, it's actually quite simple. The ways to earn money on survey sites isn't the actual survey's, though you absolutely can, it's not going to happen all that fast. The best way to make money on the survey sites is when you refer other people to the sites. Most sites give you a few bucks to get your account started, and of course the more active you are on the site, the more money you will make.......referring brings in a ton more. Now are you going to get rich on these, probably not, but it doesn't hurt to bring in some...

Okay Good Christian Music Really?! Yes!!! #Giveaway #GlorySong #FlyBy

Image
Seriously, this metal chick loves this CD haha, I never thought I would like Christian music. Don't get me wrong, I am a true firm believer, but never really listen to the music. As I am getting older, every so often when driving I find myself flipping through the radio and occasionally landing on a Christian station. It's definitely a nice change from listening to my kids pop music. I do like a variety of music, but metal will forever be in my heart. Now is the time to start letting another kind, of positive uplifting type of music in my life. As I am getting older my variety of music is changing. And to be honest with all the negativity going on in the world today, listening to Christian music is very soothing lately. Unfortunately the CD player in my car doesn't work, but fortunately my computer does have a CD/DVD player and I can now listen to this awesome CD by Matt Redman called Glory Song . Beautiful artwork on the cover. There are 13 beautiful songs on this CD, ...

Exodus......Evidence it really did happen....or did it? #giveaway Review of #Patternsofevidence #flyby

Image
The story of the Biblical Exodus is thought by many to be a myth, or a fairy tale. Award winning  Patterns of Evidence is a 12 year in the making documentary of  Filmmaker Tim Mahoney's mission to determine the truth behind the biblical story of Exodus. Tim's journey involves a interviews with many different archaeologists to determine the truth of the time frame of when Exodus occurred or if it indeed ever happened. This documentary is very interesting and has definitely given me a firmer belief in the events that have taken place in the Bible. Many consider the stories to be a myth, yet Tim's mission has confirmed through science that it is not a myth but all very true, or is it? The film is done in a very unbiased way, using the Bible more as a history book than a religious one. It does not go into religious detail but is done in a fashion of trying to give truth to the events in a history book. There are many differences of opinions in the interviews. The interviews ...

New ways to shop

I wanted to share a few things, after all this is my Reviews and Randomness! First off I have discovered a few really different kinds of places to shop. One I am Melaleuca customer and I have been for almost 5 years now! Really I absolutely love shopping there for a few different reasons, way too much to explain why in a blog post. However, the one thing I will say I love the most about them is there membership program and being able to shop directly from the manufacturer and have fresh products delivered straight to my door. It's an excellent store, and they keep getting better and better. But again I mention FRESH, unlike the crap that sits on a shelf at a store that seems to be causing a lot of sickness that I really don't want to be bothered with. I like being able to shop for products that are safe for the environment and safe for my home!  Ha and it's great to be able to have my kids help me with cleaning without having to worry about needing a breathing mask lol  ...

Image
*****great news**** and an Update*** The Giveaway to get the paperback copy for this is over; however, you can digitally read When We Last Spoke for free right now!!!! Oh where do I begin about this book? When We Last Spoke written by Marci Henna, starts off with two sisters, Juliet and Evangeline Cranbourne, that need to order a head stone for their beloved grandparents. The sisters have become estranged over the years by misunderstandings that happened during their childhood. This is where their story begins.  Through out the book we go through the journey of the lives of Juliet and Evangeline, two orphaned sisters. The story is beautifully written, I laughed and cried and felt the love radiating from the their story. I really couldn't put it down, it was a quick read that made a big impact. This story brings us through the sisters childhood when they were left on their very loving grandparents ranch. This story shows so much love, trials and tribulations of growing ...

Great Book for Beginners! The Beginner's Bible Review #thebeginnersbible #flyby

Image
The Beginners Bible by Zondervan is an excellent book to introduce children to the stories in the Bible. It starts off with the Old Testament bringing you through the rest of the Bible. The stories are easy to read using modern language the kids will understand. This book is something that the little ones will treasure and enjoy reading because it is easy to read and gives visuals with great illustrations. The stories in this book are fun for the kids to read, as well as an adult reading to the kids. The most popular Bible stories are in this book including how Christianity started. It shows kids that even the worst of people can change and that Jesus loves all. It shows how Jesus Christ has become the Lord after his death by God giving Him Heaven and Earth. This book will grab your child's attention as it has done with mine. I have four children and each one of them enjoy reading this for their own reasons. There are over 500 pages to this book along with an Table of Conten...

When Jesus was a Green Eyed Brunette- Book Review #jesusgreeneyed #flyby

Image
When Jesus was a Green Eyed Brunette is not at all what I was expecting it to be. Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect. I am truly grateful to have had the chance to review, as this came into my life at the perfect timing. Yes I know God certainly has something to do with that as there are no coincidences according to the book. This is a brilliant eye opener written by Max Davis explaining how he became close to Jesus, and continues to learn and grow to the next levels of his relationship with Him. The chapters are short, deep and powerful. This book takes us through some of Davis's life journey's as a teenager discovering the true relationship with Jesus up until his life now. As you go through the chapters we learn the stories of others who have discovered Jesus deep within, and the supernatural feeling when that actually occurs. This is a book about all different types of people, from a biker, homeless man, the apostles, those that escaped death, those that saw Him ri...

Classic Children's Story With a Great Lesson- Charlie the Tramp Review and #Giveaway

Image
Charlie the Tramp is a classic short story from the 60's. It's great seeing older books that are timeless pieces with the great lessons kids learn from. This story reminds kids that taking the easy way out isn't always the best thing. Charlie's parents let Charlie experience what Charlie wanted to experience to be a tramp instead of doing what beavers do. Charlie felt that he wanted the simple task of carrying sticks and nothing else. "Tramps just tramp around and have a good time. They carry sticks with little bundles tied to them. They sleep in a field when the weather is nice, and when it rains they sleep in a barn" Throughout this short story is Charlie's adventure as he tries to be a tramp. He grabs some snacks for when he is hungry and goes on his merry way. Now Charlie at first enjoyed this; his first night out went great, he ate his snacks, slept and returned home the next day. He helped with some chores and left again in the evening to be a t...

Say & Pray Devotions, A great book for those with little ones! #flyby #sayandpray

Image
I have said it before and I will say it again, God is so miraculous. I have had the pleasure of giving a review to this book Say & Pray Devotions, First Words, Devotions and Prayers, board book by Diane Stortz and Illustrated by Sarah Ward. This board book is great for a few different reasons. First it helps little ones learn to read by having pictures next to words, and what goes on throughout the day. For example the first pages show Good Morning and a little girl in a bathroom with a wash cloth, tooth brushes, tooth paste etc....This also has a simple say and pray. Gives a simple passage from the bible and a sweet short little prayer. The book takes us through out the day into the night. Each page is the same with words and places and the say and pray. The children of the book go to the zoo, the playground and the beach. This shows the little ones music with joyful noise, playing with friends, helpers that serve the community, and pets. Each page is illustrated with cute chi...

Parenting a Must Read for those devoted to Christian Faith ---Review #gospelparenting & #flyby

Image
Let's face it none of us are perfect parents, most of us strive to be, but it's next to impossible to be. And you know what, that is okay. Why, because we weren't meant to be the perfect parents. In fact, we set ourselves up for failure because of the expectations we put on ourselves, and worse we tend to put on our kids. It's not our jobs to be trophy parents. Our kids aren't trophies. They are going to be good at things and bad at others, and it's all okay!  Parenting by Paul David Tripp could not have come into my life at a better time. God certainly does work in mysterious ways. He knows when to give us what we need in life for ourselves and for our kids.  This books takes us through the journey of parenting and teaches us the difference between owning our children and being ambassadors for our children. Owning children sets us all up for disaster and frustration. Tripp takes us through parenting through "14 Gospel Principles that Can Radicall...

ZEEFO -Awesome Little Motion Detector Night Light!

Image
This lamp by Zeefo is pretty neat! It is a simple design. This lamp takes 3 AA batteries, and the battery compartment is easy to open and close. It has a switch on the bottom for auto, off and on. This is very simple and light weight. It's great to have where you need a quick light or where you don't have an electrical outlet. Let's face it, its nice for when you have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I don't know about you, but I swear, ever since I have had kids, I get up at least twice in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom! This light is great so I don't have to turn the light on going into the bathroom and not tripping over kids toys! It is made of all plastic, the base is silver paint like coating. It does have a nice design. It isn't very tall or big around so it's nice to be able to put anywhere light is needed really. Doesn't take up much space at all! Overall, for the price this goes for on Amazon, ...

Veggie Tales for Girls Daily Prayers-Review and Giveaway!! #everydaywithgod #flyby

Image
I have four girls and we have recently moved to a new area. Growing up I had one Church that I belonged to, and have had a hard time finding that same acceptance from a church anywhere I go. However, I do my best to make sure my girls know about God and his loving acceptance. I also let them know they can ask God for anything, and what it feels like to have a loving relationship with God. I love this Veggie Tales Every Day with God 365 Daily Devos for Girls. It's such a beautiful book designed specifically for girls and the troubles they go through growing up in the younger years of life. The recommended age group is 4-7 years of age; however, my 11 year old daughter has really been enjoying it. She reads this on a daily basis.  I am also introducing it to my 4 year old and 9 year old, but my 11 year old kind of took ownership to it! This is a book that goes through and gives a bible verse at the top of each page, with an explanation of the verse, a thought to ponder upon, and...

Heather D's Reviews-Boppin Baby Nibbler

Image
I wish I had this 4-15 years ago instead of those messy mesh ones. This Boppin Baby Nibbler is awesome for a few reasons. It helps babies get some nice refreshing fruit, or whatever else you want to put in it, without the fear of baby choking. It also helps for teething babies if you want to put something frozen inside. It's thick and durable so no worries about pieces breaking off in the babies mouth! This comes with three different sized nipples to grow with your baby. I purchased this at a discounted price in exchange for my honest unbiased review. You can get yours on Amazon.

Cute Board Book Perfect for Babies and Toddlers--#BabyBaby #FlyBy #Giveaway

Image
Baby, Baby written by Diane Stortz Illustrated by Ailie Busby is a cute baby board book with mirrors. The front cover has a mirror as well as the second to last page of the book. It has a really cute introduction as to who God loves on the mirror page- My daughter loves this page! This book is very sweet with illustrations of cute babies going through a typical day of eating, cuddling, drinking from a bottle, giving kisses, etc. It shows it in a whimsical rhyming method that grabs the attention of the little ones reading along. I haven't been reading this book to any babies, but I have been reading this to my 4 year old daughter. She absolutely loves babies, and gets a kick out of seeing what they do. She doesn't realize, but because of the rhyming she is learning how to read, but sssshhh don't tell her that! She is only enjoying the book. As a mom of four children, I feel that this is a really cute book to introduce to a sibling that is expecting a new baby brother ...

Great Introduction to the Bible For Any Age -#TheBiggestStory #flyby--- Giveaway

Image
From the artwork to the DVD itself The Biggest Story is a nice introduction to the important stories of the Bible that is sure to captivate any audience. The voice narration by Author Kevin DeYoung is nice and soothing yet completely grabs your attention. I put the DVD on for my girls, who range in age from 14 down to 4 and they were captivated from the beginning. They wanted to see more. I will say right away that we are not church goers. However, we do believe in God and Jesus. The Biggest Story shows, in the right amount of time (short 2 - 3 minutes segments, the important stories in the Bible to make those who watch or listen to the Audio Book want to learn more. It's a great introduction from the sins of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, all the way through to Jesus. The illustrations by Don Clark is beautiful. The colors are so bright and vivid. There are 10 chapters in all, and they are quick about 2 to 3 minutes each, and this honestly is the perfect amount of ti...
